Belky (Ana Maria Estupiñan) lived in the country, since she was little Belky helped with the housework, she cared for her brother and loved him so much that she offered to go to the guerrillas in the face of the threat they would bring him. One day while she was doing one of the extortions, she was captured by the army, and Belky found a light in the middle of the road.

Belky manages to enter a government program for the reintegration of children brought to war. There she is reunited with her family and the blows are not few. Her sisters no longer know her and her little brother, the one for whom she gave her life is gone. Disappointed and aching would like to die. She does not feel like studying or going out, much less going to the country to help her mother.

But there in the correctional school she knows the love that Manuel (Sebastián Eslava) offers her, a boy who was given to the paramilitaries by his family and who is now trying to fulfill her dream: to become a great chef. Manuel helps her to understand that she also has a dream: to be a doctor. It is then that Belky decides to validate all her studies of primary and high school, to present the tests ICFES and to enter a good university to study Medicine.

In order to continue her dream, Belky and her family must move to Bogota. There she meets Victor (Variel Sánchez), a future medical student who will be a great friend who will help her more than once. After many obstacles, Belky manages to enter the faculty. There she meets Santiago, Natalia and Juliana (Laura Perico); But not everything is easy for Belky besides studying must work in a call center, and even worse: try to get rid of Colonel Barragan, her worst enemy.
